First Journal Entry at blogspot

I'm not familiar with the html language, but I'm goint to wade through this strange territory and try to make some sense of it. I'm the new kid on the block, so to speak, just from AOL journals. I'm not planning on leaving behind what I started there, actually. But I did want to scope out the other blog options.

When I first began blogging, back in August of this year, I had no idea that the blogging community was so enormous, nor so many choices of where to blog from. So I chose AOL journals, and have had no problems with their services.

Now that I am more familiar with some of the technical choices, I wonder what more I can do, how can I use this as a teacher, and to what purpose do I want this journal to serve? After all, we know that writers have a purpose for writing, whether to give information or provide entertainment, amusement, or instruction; and let's not forget persuasive writing!

I don't think I can identify any one single purpose for writing, except maybe that I am learning about blogging, I want to be more creative with the entries, and I want to be part of the blogging community. So there, after all, I do have a purpose, or two or three.

If you join me, and you are an experienced blogger, and you can help me as I ask the questions, direct me to links or locations where I might find the answers, we will be good neighbors! I thank you for visiting. Please come back and see how things are going to change.

I do like to write. For any purpose.
